    I thought it was slow, though the scenes in the maternity home were heartbreaking. At the end of the day, I wanted this book to be more than it is.

    Clementine - I agree about wanting more. I found it to be very moving, but the book ended up feeling kind of slight, especially given the subject.

    That’s a good word for it–”slight.” Heartbreaking at times, but overall lacking. I’m glad you posted the book review, though!
